Teresa Kok today lodged a police report over the numerous threats she has been receiving after her controversial Chinese New Year video went viral.

Speaking to reporters outside the Tun H.S. Lee police station in Kuala Lumpur, the DAP vice-chair defended her "Onederful Malaysia CNY 2014" video, saying her production of the video containing political satires is her right as a Malaysian.
"As a Malaysian, I have every right to produce a political satire which is common in our society," she said.
Kok said apart from public speeches, political satires are just another medium to reach out to the society to express the feelings of the people.
"There is nothing seditious nor defamatory in my video clip as commented by legal experts," she said.
Kok also warned Umno ministers Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal, Khairy Jamaluddin and Datuk Seri Shabery Cheek against attacking her, and instead invited them to view the clip with her.
