Warm warm chicken shit.

There is a Malay proverb which goes like this: 'Hangat hangat tahi ayam'. It refers to the temporary warmth present in just excreted chicken shit before it cools down in a matter of seconds. It means something that fizzles out after a promising start. When translated directly into English it becomes 'Warm warm chicken shit'.

That qualifies exactly to what was done to the above building which is situated right in the centre of Seremban town. A few weeks ago the road beside the building and where the red car is seen parked was closed to traffic. Tents were put up to officiate a campaign of repainting the buildings in town. The road was closed for two days to the inconvenience of many.

After the tents were taken down the above photograph shows the result of the campaign. I wonder how many VIPs' hands were used just to swipe a few litres of white paint to the building to officially start the campaign. After that, nothing. In fact as it is the building becomes uglier than before.

I just hope that this is not a case of 'Hangat hangat tahi ayam' or 'Warm warm chicken shit'.
