Our privacy commitment

Waktu Solat is provided by Dynamic Digital Design, Penang, Malaysia. We do not require users to create an account, and we do not sell personal information. The app does not display advertising and does not request or use the Google Advertising ID.

Information used by the app

Location

If you choose Kesan Lokasi, the app asks for location permission and uses your device's precise location to identify the relevant JAKIM prayer zone and calculate prayer times. Your coordinates are compared with district polygons downloaded to the device. This processing occurs locally on your device; the app does not send your precise GPS coordinates to Dynamic Digital Design. Location access is optional. You may instead select a prayer zone manually, and you may revoke location permission at any time in Android settings.

Locally stored settings and offline data

The app stores your selected prayer zone, location preference, prayer and district datasets, notification settings, and other app preferences on your device. This information supports offline operation and remains until it is replaced, cleared through Android settings, or the app is removed.

Notifications and Firebase

The app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to support notifications. Firebase may process an app-instance identifier, a push-notification registration token, and technical device or app information needed to deliver and secure messages.

Analytics and diagnostics

The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand general app usage and improve reliability. Depending on the device and Firebase configuration, Google may process information such as app interactions, app-instance identifiers, device model, operating-system version, language, general region inferred from network information, and diagnostic information. We do not use this information for advertising or to build advertising profiles.

Server requests

The app contacts WaktuSolat.net to download prayer schedules, district polygons, takwim, kuliah, and banner content. Like most internet services, the hosting infrastructure may temporarily process standard request information such as IP address, request time, requested resource, and technical headers for delivery, security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell or rent personal information. Information may be processed by:

• Google Firebase, for analytics and cloud messaging.
• Our hosting and network providers, to deliver WaktuSolat.net data and protect the service.
• Authorities or professional advisers, only when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, or defend legal rights.

Retention and security

Information stored by the app remains on your device as described above. Operational server records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting, and service operation. Data processed by Google is retained according to our Firebase configuration and Google's applicable policies. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted HTTPS connections, but no method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices

• Use manual zone selection instead of granting location permission.
• Revoke location or notification permission through Android settings.
• Clear the app's locally stored information through Android settings or uninstall the app.
• Contact us with a privacy question or request.

Children, external content, and changes

The app is a general prayer-time utility and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. It may display or link to third-party content, such as YouTube; use of those services is governed by their own privacy policies. We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The revised effective date will be shown on this page.
